Aloe Vera and Acne
Aloe Vera Benefits
Aloe vera and acne treatment has been proven from clinical trials.
Most of us know that aloe vera creams and gels are effective for wound healing. For most of us, our knowledge stops there. Aloe vera is effective in treating common acne, also known as acne vulgaris. There have been some clinical trials that support using aloe vera to treat acne.
Aloe Vera and Acne
Aloe vera has several medicinal traits that lend it to being effective in the treatment of acne. It is anti inflammatory, anti bacterial and has anti fungi and pain relieving qualities. If you are an acne sufferer, you know that all of these are part of suffering from acne.

Aloe Vera Gel is 100% natural, which is great for those of us looking for a natural or herbal remedy for treating acne. It will reduce redness, relieve pain, increase healing time by up to 70% and reduces the scar tissue. Here are the results summarized from a clinical trial for the effectiveness of aloe vera for acne treatment.
One nonrandomised, unblinded study assessed wound healing with polyethylene oxide wound gel or polyethylene oxide wound gel saturated with aloe vera in 17 patients with acne vulgaris. Half-face treatments were carried out so that each patient received both treatments. By day 5, 90% of wounds were healed (complete re-epithelialisation) with aloe vera compared with 40-50% without aloe vera. Wound healing was 72 hours faster with aloe vera.
In order to achieve these excellent results, you need to use a high quality aloe vera topical gel.
If you have tried other methods for treating and curing your acne, I urge you to give aloe vera gels and lotions a try. Compared to many acne treatment products (prescription and non-prescription) aloe vera gel is quite inexpensive. You will be able to treat and cure your acne by trying the aloe vera gel in most instances.
Aloe veras anti bacterial qualities are absorbed into the skin, and this prevents the acne from reoccuring. The moisturizing effects restore balance to the skin and allow it to heal without producing scarring and pocking of the surface of the skin. If you read more on this site, you will be as convinced as I am that this is the best remedy for curing and preventing acne.
So why is it not more popular?
Aloe Vera and Acne Treatment
So, I am sure that you are thinking, if it is so effective, why is aloe not promoted more through dermatologists and medical doctors, or through the pharmaceutical industry? Well, if you give this question thought, you will understand that it is not as profitable as many of the other acne products on the market. If everyone knew that aloe vera gel was this effective for treting acne, there would be few commercial products on the market, fewer visits to the specialist and it would hinder the industry. Now, I am not saying that this is the only reason, but it is worth some thought. Many creams and lotions contain aloe vera in some form and it is for good reason.
Products 'containing' aloe vera can still run you a hefty bill when compared with the pure aloe products. Please give aloe gel a try, I am sure you will have excellent results.
